Check This Out

Opening day was good for the White Sox on a number of levels. They shut out a great team and all cylinders seemed to be firing as expected. On top of a typically solid outing, Mark Buerhle posted up this phenomenal play:


Remember, that's a major league hit bouncing off of his ankle before he takes off after it. Konerko gets a little credit here, too, for staying poised and using his bare hand to give the ump the easiest view of the play.

I don't typically lean one way or the other, but there's a lot to like on the Sox this year.
